    Born in Plainview Texas, my commitment to the people of this region began with my family's devotion to friends and family in Hale County. My parents and I grew up as a farm family in Plainview, Texas, and Robertson Farms continues as a successful business today. Happily married since 1986 to Jerry Devine, PhD, I have one son, Kevin, who has a Master's degree in creative writing from Texas Tech. Jerry works as our technology support at Devine ObGyn.

    My commitment to education continued after graduation from Plainview High School and Texas A&M University. I graduated from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in 1990. Obstetrics and Gynecology residency is a four-year program which I completed in 1994 at Texas Tech. Certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) was obtained in 1996. As medicine continues to change, my lifelong study includes annual maintenance of board certification from ABOG. Self-study, as well as attending medical meetings keep my knowledge current. I truly love medicine and treasure having good relationships with excellent physician peers as consultants in Lubbock.

    My practice was initially started with a two year support contract from Lubbock County Hospital district in 1994. Since then I have been practicing obstetrics and gynecology as a self-employed physician. We were delighted to add Amber Coon, MD to our practice in July 2015 and have enjoyed every day we work together.
