    Wendy Wilcox joins Owen Health Group to offer same & next-day appointments for your health care needs. Wendy Wilcox is a Family Nurse Practitioner certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Additionally, Wendy is a certified BioTE provider. She grew up in Nazareth, Texas, population 311. Wendy graduated from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2013. Wendy's nursing career began in 2007 in the Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at University Medical Center in Lubbock. For ten years, she built a strong foundation of knowledge allowing her the opportunity to joining the Neonatal Transport team in collaboration with AeroCare. During this time, she also spent a year as a clinical preceptor for South Plains College on the orthopedics floor. Wendy then moved on to work for University Medical Center Home Health where she became knowledgeable in wound care and empowering patients in their healthcare journey. Wendy graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2018. Wendy is married with four children. She is an avid sports fan and enjoys spending time at sporting events with her family and friends as well as shopping. Her favorite part of being a family nurse practitioner is being able to provide education to patients regarding their health and including them in their treatment plan of care.
