Biography
Dr. Gabriel Axelrud is a board-certified radiation oncologist at the Joe Arrington Cancer Research and Treatment Center. He also serves as Medical Director of the Oncology Service Line and the Department of Radiation Oncology at Covenant Health. In addition, he chairs the Radiation Oncology Clinical Specialty Committee and the Radiation Oncology Clinical Decision Team at Providence.
Dr. Axelrud's areas of expertise include Gamma Knife and LINAC-based Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) / Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy (SABR), Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image-Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT), Three-Dimensional Conformal Radiation Therapy (3D-CRT), High-Dose Rate Brachytherapy (HDR), EBRT and SAVI-based Accelerated Partial Breast Irradiation (APBI), and Radioligand Therapy (RLT) / Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy (PRRT) / Radiopharmaceutical Therapy (RPT) - Pluvicto, Lutathera, Xofigo, I-131.
