Biography
Marissa Yates was born and raised in El Paso, Texas where she attended Faith Christian Academy and the University of Texas at El Paso. She received her bachelors degree in Microbiology and afterwards moved to Lubbock to attend medical school at Texas Tech. After receiving her medical degree she stayed on in Lubbock to complete her residency in Family Medicine at Texas Tech. After residency she has worked for PNS for 8 years. Starting in April 2017, she partnered with the Texas Physician’s Group.
Dr. Yates is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has a clinical appointment as Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Texas Tech. In addition to her practice, Dr. Yates has been married to her husband, Trevor, for 20 years and is a mother of 3 beautiful children.
